Ariana Escobar (b. 1991) is an independent Venezuelan artist and product designer based in Madrid. Taking advantage of her design skills, patiently hand-drawn geometric compositions, and vibrant colour palettes, Ariana creates catching abstract paintings. Her work is fuelled by her relationship with play, craft, and meditation in the pursuit of balance between excitement and tranquility.
Ariana began painting during lockdown in Spain, tapping into an inherited love of painting she found at a young age thanks to her father, who was also an artist. Since then, she has developed an aesthetic that draws from toys, the colourful minimalism that represents her generation, kinetic and surrealists influences, and a lifelong search for joy.
