In 2019 I was invited to talk at Double Dot, an event on Product and Service Design in Madrid. I decided to talk about a loosely-formed philosophy of appreciation that I like to call Sparkles. Sparkles is the power of the small pleasures in life to create a more fulfilling life. Those experiences that we remember, seek, repeat, share, and enjoy the most. I talked about many of the perspectives, inspirations, and life experiences that led me to that philosophy and methods to bring it to life in our careers and crafts.
